Ophtec regularly engages in relief projects by supporting ophthalmic surgeons during humanitarian missions in Africa with product donations. This time, Dr. Andrea Huth from the University Hospital of Halle reached out to us to request Artisan Aphakia lenses for a relief project in Burkina Faso, one of the poorest countries in the world. The lenses were being used locally to treat cataract patients.
